There's a popular saying religiously that money is the root of all evil. But personally, I don't buy that assessment. I feel that it's poverty that's the root of all evil. Poverty is what drags you into evil in order to make money and get out of it.

What are your thoughts?

Both since they don't know how to work in tandem.

I feel the greed for money is the root of evil for people who choose to steal money and things which are worth money. There are rich and non-rich people who got arrested for tax evasion, and stealing money and valuable possessions like gold, and financial fraud.

I do believe money is the root of all evil. There has been a lot of people that have been corrupted by money or think that they are invincible because they have so much money and can do whatever they want.

Being in poverty might make some people turn to theft in a great time of need. They may steal some food in order to help them make it along. Yes, stealing is wrong but people in poverty normally just steal because they don't have enough to make it along on their own.

When the driving force to acquire wealth at all means is there, then there is a challenge. To me, the normal drive to make money ain't bad after all.

When the bible refers to money being the root of all evil it means that the pursuit of money with drive people into doing sinful actions for money. Wrong doings that normally they wouldn't do. Like how two friends are totally cool for years then suddenly the one friend gets a hold of cash from the other and suddenly uses every trick to not pay up.
Or like when someone gets rich by creating a program called windows so people can use the internet to share information then you fast forward 30 years and he's trying to force injections in everyone and buying up every farm property on the planet to own all of the food for humanity.

Generally poverty comes from mental disorder which creates less success in challenges in life(depressed for example) and/or drug use which causes a lack of care for responsibility, value of life, and reason.

Money is the problem. You know that expression "make money". That's not true. the correct term is "take money" if you have more.

I'm in crime for money here and there and have been for some times of my life. I don't really find it any worse than food companies tricking people with sizing their products smaller secretly. Or say cars that have parts that are built to wreck in a certain amount of time deliberately, or addictive things like coffee for profit.
It's rare to find ethical money.

Making money is worse than keeping money. Because so many people get it taken away. The IRS is the root of greed when the people behind it are recklessly spending for their own self-interests. The thing is, the only reason we have money is that we have lazy and dishonest people in our existence who won't work if otherwise money exists. But then you can get into politics with a ton of money and keep it just by passing it around and leaving it in large amounts in banks. However, there are social services out there to help some people until it becomes too much and decisions have to be made.

Those social services aren't getting all the help or assistance they deserve from the government which is supposed to back them and it's not that the money isn't there to aid them but they are too selfish to do what's right.

This is why I enroll in crypto currency and with any luck it will take over.
Cryptocurrency suffered a lot last year. Let's hope it gets better this year.

I'm trying to get in on a trade today but price entry have been eluding me.

We really want it to because a lot of money have gone into it already and the losses keeps pilling up. We are just seeing the evil side of crypto.

I am also hopeful that crypto works out. I don't see any reason it shouldn't work out the way we want.
