Monster Hunter World has announced a raft of new updates, including a paid expansion pack called Iceborne, and a collaboration with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
Iceborne will be available in Autumn 2019, and includes "new quest ranks, locales, monsters, moves and equipment". Its new story will also follow from the main game's conclusion along with these updates:

- The return of limited-time monster Kulve Taroth as an Arch-tempered Kulve Taroth, starting on December 19.
- The addition of Arch-tempered Nergigante in Spring 2019.
- A one-year anniversary event, called Appreciation Fest.
- A trial version of the game, which will allow players to play the game up to a 3-star quest level and offers save transferring after purchasing the full game. It'll be available from December 11-17.
