I wanted to start making an end of month topic where we look back at everything we did or accomplished. Feel free to share whatever you want!

---

Beat:

Child of Light (Wii U) - I started off really liking this game, but the tedium wore me down. Battles were very simple, either you were stun locked or the enemy was. The dialogue was atrocious with all the forced rhyming that didn't flow too well. Music and art were pretty good, although I wish Aurora had been 2D like almost everything else instead of being 3D. The Wii U version has some texture streaming issues.
Final verdict: 3/5

Now playing:

Far Cry 4 (PS4) - I played a couple hours of FC2, but this is the first FC that I have really invested time into. I like getting to choose the path the story takes. Guns are pretty good, just wish I could carry my shotgun, assault rifle, sniper rifle, and rocket launcher all at the same time. Most of the fun I have had so far has come from wandering off the beaten path. Missions are hit or miss, but exploring the open world is entertaining.

Skyrim (PS4) - I put 20 something hours into the PC version years ago, but now I'm setting out to beat this massive game. I'm 80 hours in and burnt out at the moment. I'm fairly deep into the story, but I plan to get the platinum trophy so I'm doing as much as possible along the journey. I'll probably resume this once I finish Far Cry 4.

RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic (iOS) - This will probably stay on my list for a while. Doing random scenarios when I feel like it. So thankful Atari released such a faithful port.

New:

RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic (iOS) - Worth $6.

Miscellaneous:
I traded in my old games and accessories for my Wii and Wii U to get a Switch. Don't have a preorder, so I'm hoping to snag an extra copy at the midnight launch!

I started playing the latest DLC from Deus Ex: Mankind Divided™ for the 3rd time in many days. Still not finished though.

I joined this forum not long ago

I picked up a bunch of high scores on the Arcade here as well (still waiting for my points to arrive).

I rather enjoyed Child of Light, though maybe it was better on PS3? But we both can agree that the music and art was perfect.

Good idea for a thread!

Beat: Resident Evil Revelations 2 (PS4) - I am sure I did that this month  But either way I started the game a long while ago and finally got around to beating the DLC, etc. Was a good game.

Currently Playing: Resident Evil 7 (PS4), Ratchet & Clank (PS4)
I have currently halted playing some other games I started (Dishonored Definitive Edition, Assassins Creed Unity & Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel) for now, and will return eventually.

New Games: Mirror's Edge Catalyst (PS4), digital version as was on sale for £10

Miscellaneous: I have been binge watching Game of Thrones as I never really bothered with it before, so that has taken most of my time as of late. Just starting season 5 now.

Yeah, I actually paused it one time and took a nap listening to the music.

How are you liking Unity? Game of Thrones is my favorite show on right now, have you read the books?

Eh, it seems better than the videos showed it at launch. Still feels rather clunky in some circumstances though. I haven't had a chance to read the books yet, hear they are good but most of the fans don't expect love long enough until the next book comes out  hear George Martin takes a while?

Yeah, I found it pretty clunky too. Couldn't ever quite get him to climb the way I wanted to.

The books are great, I'm about a quarter of the way intothe most recent one. George is taking his sweet time though, but at least the show is on schedule! What has been the most shocking scene or death for you so far?

Hard to say, I played the Telltale Game of Thrones game before getting into the series so I already knew about the Red Wedding, otherwise that would've probably taken the crown. I'd say probably Ned Stark, I know its like the premise of the whole show (i.e. his killing kind of spurred on most things which have happened since) but I was new to the show and not expecting main characters to be killed off back then :p
