Sony will shortly announce a brand new incentive scheme to encourage sales of the digital-only PSPgo, MCV can exclusively reveal.
The offer will entitle anyone who registered their PSPgo after April 1st 2010 to ten full game downloads. Titles in the deal include Gran Turismo, LittleBigPlanet, 2010 FIFA World Cup and Grand Theft Auto.
The deal follows the announcement of a PSP Essentials budget software range that will see several triple-A titles available both on UMD and digitally for just £9.99.
“On PSPgo we’ve decided to innovate with that particular business model,” SCE UK sales director Mark Howsen told MCV. “Next month we’re launching a free ten game offer. And this isn’t just older titles – we’ve worked with third parties and there’s some really good core products.
“We’re using it as a method to drive the hardware as well by making the whole proposition much more appealing.
