Weather can be a scary thing. It can also be very beautiful and provide us with shots we normally wouldnt get anywhere else. That being said, there also comes the danger of being in harm's way when weather strikes. What would be more scarier to you, is it coming across a tornado? Or running from an avalanche.

Avalanche, when that happens you have little hope.

Both of them are very ugly but I would say that avalanche is more deadly. I wouldn't want to be caught in any of them.

I feel an Avalanche is more dangerous because there is less timeto prepare for it compared to a Tornado where there are warning sirens which warn people of a Tornado coming to an area, so people can quickly find shelter like a Tornado shelter to stay more safe.

Both are not very good scenarios.

If I was forced to choose, I would take a tornado. If you have a basement, then you have somewhere to go to get away from the tornado. You'd never be able to get away from the avalanche fast enough.

It's because of tornadoes that see some people now build in a kind of bunker basement in their homes lately. It is very possible to keep you contained from the destruction of a tornado.

I had to really think on this one. We don't have avalanches here & tornadoes are not that common. I'll pick avalanche as they are the most terrifying due to the fact the entire mountain can be affected & you have no hope to outrun it. Here we have basments & cellars & there are more warnings I would imagine for tornadoes than there are for avalanches.

An avalanche is not common to those who don't live in the mountains (or near), so they would definitely be freakin' terrifying!
This is why I don't feel comfortable living anywhere near a mountain. When I know there's a pending risk of an avalanche happening there, I wouldn't be at peace.
