So, in some sections even forum games, they still require a full sentence to be an actual answer, yet some people in forum games or even in on topic sections don't have to write their answers in full sentences. I feel like this is an inconvenience especially since not every topic requires a full sentence for a response. Please let me know if I need to explain better, but are word lengths really necessary?

I don't think there's a 5 word rule for any forum! Are you receiving an error when trying to make a post with less than 5 words? If so, which forum?
But either way, I'm sure it's not necessary for every post to be at least 5 words long!

Yes I am and while I don't post in many sections the ones I do post on I get an alert saying sentences for must be 5 words

I think it was a anti spam feature from when the forum was really really young, I'll review it and see if not needed anymore.
I haven't gotten it lately but I got it quite a bit when I first started here, even in areas where full sentences wasn't even remotely necessary
It's probably the "10 character" thing to combat spam
Take forum games for instance, band names A to Z: I couldn't just say H Hanson, for instance, I had to say "H is for the band Hanson"
