The first Mortal Kombat DLC will be released "certainly within the next month," according to Mortal Kombat chief Ed Boon, though it could be as soon as "the next few weeks."
The DLC will introduce the sword-wielding Skarlet to an already-substantial MK roster. Like many of Mortal Kombat's kombatants, Skarlet's nativity was a palette-swapping glitch in Mortal Kombat II, which turned Kitana a deadly shade of red.
Speaking to G4, Boon also confirmed that the DLC will "tweak certain variables," and that full details of the patch will be outlined on their official website – www.themortalkombat.com – upon release.
He also revealed that his intention was to support the title for months to come, refining the Mortal Kombat experience for fans.
