DOZENS of MPs went on an iPhone and iPad shopping spree ahead of the election, ensuring that their expenses didn't go un-spent.

It is no secret that members of parliament, who have to struggle with just two to three well-paid jobs and an equal number of homes, are partial to Apple products.

It must be nice for the government to be able to spend so much money on luxury computer, phones, and tablets before an election.

I think government officials should learn how to use Linux to save money rather than buying luxury items like iPads, iPhone, iMac, and other Apple products.

I wonder why they bought Apple devices, considering that Windows is known for being the operating system that suits business-related needs better...
Maybe the government officials rather have nicer looking computers instead of plain looking computers made by Dell and HP. There is now MS Office for Mac which can do most of the tasks which MS Office for Windows does.

I think government officials like senators mainly read documents to make decisions, and send e-mails which they received from voters, and government workers. They probably don't use spreadsheets, and Slide show presentation programs much.
