Do you like listening to music or you prefer silence while playing a game?
I don't listen to music that much anyways. To me, it becomes a distraction. I like it being quiet, no outside noise. Just focusing on the game. I also tend to have sound effects up whenever I play to get a better feel for the game. If you prefer to listen to music, what is playing? Do you play it in the background? Have earbuds in to drown out other noise?

I mainly only listen to the game's background music from the game.
Same with me I like listening to only the game's background music and rarely listen to any other music.

I think like one or two games I ever played I hated their OST, otherwise I'm fine with the in game music.

If it was a multiplayer game I'm used to I like variety, but on couch co-op or just single player I prefer in-game music.

I don’t mind doing it if I’m playing an RPG where I’m doing a lot of grinding.
Also this. I usually like listening to the in game music, but if all I'm doing in grinding or doing loads of backtracking, I'll usually try to catch up on my watch later playlist on Youtube or just listen to music.

Then the RPG games you're playing has lackluster ost then.

It depends a lot on the game, to be honest. With Forza and sometimes even FIFA, I like to listen to my Spotify music. But with first-person shooters and games where sound is important, I won't listen to any music.

For solo gameplay i mostly stick to the games background or music whatever it is. For multiplayer me and my friend's listens to music while playing.

Nah, a lot of the rpgs have great songs, but I also don't want to get sick of those songs because I'm in battle for less than a minute grinding.

I could have used that back in the day, when I played FF 4, 6, 7 and 9 to the point I know all the tunes by heart and playing in my dreams.....

It's going to boring playing games without music. I wonder who does that and how they enjoy their game?

It depends on the game, sometimes I'll play some low music in the background when I'm just playing casually. But for more competitive play that needs sound and mic, I don't play any music

I prefer playing music only when I'm playing a game that has to do with car racing like "Need for speed"
Any other game, I'd prefer a quiet time.

I'll generally only play music whilst I'm in like a pre-game lobby or something but when I'm properly playing a game I prefer to just listen to the game rather than having anything playing over the top of it.
