Mutant Mudds heading to 3DS eShop
Looks rather generic (especially the world themes), and reminds me an awful lot of SNES era platformers. Not quite the quality of the Kirby series graphically, but definitely way too much like quite a few others.
In fact, you know what this game screams to me? Cliche Storm. Platformer edition. Let's have a look, using TV Tropes as a source...
Ah, we're in a grassy area, with the typical smiling clouds and trees. Straight ahead is a bottomless pit, As per usual, floating diamonds can be seen in a line.
Looks like a Mario era castle level, complete with Lava Pit
2.5D apparently. Yeah, there's a trope for that I think.
Snow level. A Slippy Slidey Ice World. Night too, so has hints of Blackout Basement. Eye creatures that looks straight from Kid Icarus or Smash Bros Brawl's Subspace Emissary. Oh, I bet the hero is firing a Painfully Slow Projectile...
Involves a water cannon and water-powered jet pack. Yeah, anyone else reminded of FLUDD?
Levels include a dark, wintery land; a fiery temple; a space cosmos; and a fluffy cloudville.
The game will also feature secrets and power-ups for those super gamers who wish to explore every possible pixel of a game
Not saying it's guaranteed to be a bad game, but at the moment, it's looking the complete opposite of original. Those are a little overdone as downloadable titles...
