Heh, that's rather cute and reminds me of a few of my first Flash animations. For a tip, there's basically two ways of animating in Flash:

1) Frame by frame, which I'm guessing is what you did. That is, you individually drew each little frame. It's very handy for those movements that Flash just can't do, like walking or rotating 360 degrees

2) Animating with Flash. As you keep on exploring you'll find out Flash can do some animations for you, such as moving from point A to point B, changing colour, changing transparency, etc. You can save a lot of time and also make your work look a little bit more fancier by using this.

Just muck about and you'll learn more heh.
