Nothing is ever easy for me, got a like from another girl who is 6 years younger than me and lives an hour and half away.

Seems kind of... odd?

mine is the one where... the first date is arranged, but .... then they lie about their profile picture. It is them for sure, but they reply with 'oh that was me 6 years ago'. not quite a 'catfish' thing, but a deception!
hope you find the player 2 for life!

Honestly, considering the fact that just about everybody lies on social media, and even about the dumbest shit too, like easily verifiable shit like height, weight, race, marital status, their ENTIRE appearance, etc.. then it stands to reason that they would also lie when trying to find a date online.

Personally, if I weren't married, let alone off the market and with the same man for more than half of my life, I'd probably be celibate. Shit's crazy out here nowadays..

But if you are suspicious, remove your location, and do a Tineye search on their pic and ask them questions that would stump a chat bot.

I've heard that most female profiles on dating sites are bots.

That was especially the case with Ashley Madison and other dating sites out there..

I never tried the dating thing before I met my hubby. It wasn't really big, like it is now, when I was available.

I'm sure it is easy to lie on the those dating sites and what not so I'd be really careful about that situation. Especially since this is an hour and a half away.

Am I lazy or would others also consider that as a long-distance relationship? Not sure about how you guys feel in the States but 1.5 hours over here is way too much effort especially if you start dating and start meeting up regularly.

IMO it kind of depends on where you live for it to be somewhat convenient. Have a nice halfway point that’s convenient to meet up at.

I heard US car traffic in some big cities like New York City is very slow where it can take a few hours to go a short distance because of traffic jams caused by too many cars on the road, and road construction.

People who date sometimes meet at places like movie theatres, and music concerts, so they don't need to go to each other homes which maybe farther away and less convenient.

Los Angeles and I forget the interstate in GA, but those two places are way, way, way worse than NYC when it comes to traffic.

Our roadways never get as bad as those areas unless there is road work during a major holiday travel day.

Or rubber-necking delays on the Belt or Southern State because of an accident in the opposite direction.

Sounds like I 285.

I would think the two people would meet up at a half way point between where you live and where the other person lives, like a couple of people have mentioned before. I think that would be fair.

that's what I would do, but if things get serious then it becomes an issue.

I feel public train transportation like the subway, local trains, high speed trains like the bullet train in Japan may make long distance relationship dates more convenient to meet up.

But, I think a lot of places in North America don't have reliable local trains and subways, and high speed railways, so people maybe stuck with either using a car, motorcycle, public bus, taxi, walking, and bicycling to dates depending on if they have a driver's license and how much money they can afford to spend on transportation.

I would never use online dating because, and I know this sounds silly, I'm too short. I'm 5'4" and I've seen way too many profiles and messages online of girls destroying guys if they're anything less than 6 foot. I even saw one of a dude that was 5'11" and the girl was like, "You would be the perfect guy if you were an inch taller" and I'm already subconscious about my height and I couldn't handle how demoralizing that would feel if it were actually me.

Which site were you looking at exactly?

The crazy thing is how the shortest girls go after the really tall guys. I know some of the taller girls get annoyed, because they want a guy taller than them, but they’re all taken by the shorties.
