The second 2024 issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine announced on Monday that the seventh season of the anime adaptation of Kōhei Horikoshi's My Hero Academia manga will premiere in spring 2024. The manga will also take a one-issue break on December 18, and will return in the magazine's combined fourth and fifth issue, on December 25.
The anime is also getting a fourth film. Horikoshi will serve as the general supervisor and original character designer. The film will have an original story that will take place around the same time as where the TV anime is currently, with the collapse of safe society.
