Setting to make that ending sting even more,

Redditor NoSleeves12 is playing Destiny’s competitive player vs. player Elimination via Trials of Osiris, with two of his buddies. His team has hit 8-0, which means they’re a single win away from getting a flawless victory in the trials and heading to the exclusive Lighthouse on Mercury. (A loss will deny them access till the next trials.)

That's just awful. To be honest with the xbox 360 controller I never had problems with it disconnecting unless the battery had completely run out

This is pretty annoying. I wonder how often he charge his batteries. I think he could of used a USB cable to charge his controller while playing the game.

The poor battery life is a problem in quite a few controllers for recent systems (the Wii U GamePad for example has a terrible battery life, maybe of a couple of hours at best), but it certainly sucks to have it become an issue in a situation like this one.

Still, if he used a wired controller, he could have pulled the whole system over or something, so I guess that's one positive...

Yeah, wired controllers are the way to go really. Not only do they have that nostalgic value, they're just way more reliable. I definitely faced the disconnect problem a lot with the xbox.

that is bad for both your eyes and your sitting posture pending if your chair can be moved.

He can wear sun glasses, move the console closer to him if he has a longer HDMI video cable, and extension cord or a power outlet near his couch if he is concerned with his eyes, and use a small chair like a small stool to sit on.

I think a lot of LCD TVs are like computer LCD monitors, so it is not as bad for your eyes because LCD TVs have no strong rays like Tube TVs.

I guest, if he has a laptop, or one of those USB External batteries, he probably can charge his controller with a laptop's USB port, or one of those external USB smartphone chargers.

He can sit closer to the TV.
You ever see the cords they give with ps3 controllers? It'd be absolutely ridiculous to sit by the tv playing like that. Much better to just turn the game off for an hour than deal with the hassle of sitting a foot away from it haha.

It is disappointing that the cords are only a foot long since Micro-USB cables are not that expensive since you can buy them for a few dollars online. He also could of tried using other Micro-USB cables from a smartphone or tablet. Some of those Micro-USB cables from smartphones and tablets are 4 foot or longer.

I have one of the play and charge kits for my xbox which is quite useful to be honest. The cable is quite long for it as well so I can sit where I normally sit without having to go closer to the tv

Yeah, I guess it's true that you can just buy yourself a longer cord - never actually thought of doing this myself but now I feel a tad bit silly about that haha. It is too bad Sony cheaped out instead of providing something decent.

I should do this, but I tend to tug hard on my controllers when I'm losing :p

Buying a wired controller with a very long cord or using a USB extension cord will probably prevent you from tugging so hard that you also tug your USB plug on your controller cord out of the USB port on a PS3 console.

Yeah, could be worth checking out ebay for one of those. I would be much more into wired extenders and the like if the prices for them in local stores weren't absolutely ridiculous.
