The Nabi Kids Tablet with Google Android looks pretty good. It seems like a pretty fast and responsive tablet, and the screen's color looks nice. I like the red foam frame for it. The 181.00 price tag is not bad as well considering it has 1.1GHz Dual core CPU, 512MB of RAM, Camera, 4GB storage, MicroSD, Mini-HDMI, and 5 hour battery life. This Tablet can compete with the Amazon Kindle Fire if it had a higher resolution screen, and a newer version of Google Android.

do kids really need this?
 
No, but it probably keeps them quiet while in the car, or when they have nothing to do.

It is also a lot cheaper then a desktop computer and laptop which can get infected by viruses very easily which means expensive repair bills for removing viruses and spyware on a computer.
 
At least, being addicted to electronics are better then being addicted to heavy drugs like cocaine, and alcohol which can mess up your life very quickly, and you don't learn any useful skills and info like reading ebooks, and info from tutorial videos.

sorry, it's just as bad. There are studies out there of people who can be away from tech for one minute. That can cause harm to your sleep patterns, unable to pay attention to your surroundings, ect.
 
I bet being without electronics is easier to cure then heavy drugs like exctasy , meth, and cocaine since I think most people who are addicted to electronics probably just have nothing to do, and they can just go to a concert, find a woman and man to have a good time with, go to Disneyland, and other fun activities instead of using electronics while being on drugs can make you see spiders crawling up your arms and other visions which are not real, but imaginary.
 
Indeed, they are bad when you are addicted to games, but I think being addicted to games are better then injecting, smoking, and swallowing pills, drugs, and needles into your body since you can die in hours or less by eating contaminated drugs which are mix with other chemicals by the drug dealers or yourself to make it more addicting/fun. I heard on the news of young teens dying because of taking a few pills and other illegal drugs for fun.
