National StreetPass Weekend

Nintendo of America is holding a new National StreetPass Weekend from October 31 to November 2.

Just in time for Halloween, Nintendo says it's mixing up over 29,000 Nintendo Zone hotspots so that 3DS owners will get StreetPass tags from across the country for the event. Players can get up to six StreetPass tags from places nearby and faraway, according to the company.

Last year, Nintendo held a similar National StreetPass Weekend, with the event getting such a positive reaction that the company expanded it by one day. 3DS owners can share game information by StreetPassing, as well as Mii characters for StreetPass Mii Plaza.

This sounds like a really cool idea and definitely one that will be welcomed by many who enjoy using this feature a lot. The fact that it was so popular last year shows that it may be just as if not more popular this year. Looking forward to seeing how this turns out this time around.
