Need Gmail to use youtube

just got the message on youtube that you can't have a account on it without it being linked to a Gmail account. What bs is that?!

I think it is the same for all Google services now that you need to use your G-mail account to login to all Google owned services.

I think this can be a good idea for people who always forget their passwords for their online accounts, but are less likely to forget their e-mail/gmail account since most people check e-mail/gmail everyday.

I hate this. It won't let me connect my account to google mail for some reason it says the email is already in use, so now I'm unable to log in.

so that just means hissae2 that you as well as me (since I got more then one account) need to make spam gmail accounts.
