Yeah, you read that right. Neil Armstrong, first man on the moon, the guy that said "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind" passed away following complications from cardiovascular surgery. He died at 82.

He underwent surgery earlier in this month when doctors found blockages in his coronary arteries.

Well, shows what I know about this world, doesn't it? I thought he'd already passed away years ago, but apparently not!

Here's the article on it: http://au.news.yahoo.com/a/-/newshome/14666932/us-astronaut-neil-armstrong-dead-at-82/

Sad to hear. Unfortunately, we (the US) need to cover another Armstrong (Lance) even more. As much as I love sports, our priorities as a country are sickening sometimes.

I read that too. It truly is a sad time indeed. He was like 82 though so he was getting up there in age...

Lance Armstrong? Is that the guy that races bikes in the Tour de France? I don't really follow that.

It's not like he died young, he was getting old already.

Wait, I don't like the news, I like the comments! OH GOD WHAT HAVE I DONE.

But yeah, this was sad, but it's okay because well, it just seemed like he went away happy. No regrets, nothing bad happening. Just a genuinely good person who lived his life well. We need more of these people in the "celebrity" group to be honest.

This is so sad. He was an inspiration to everyone. He lived a good long life, though, and he loved what he did. Truly an amazing man.

Man this guy will surely be missed he accomplished to reach the moon via a Hollywood studio. Before the first REAL astronaut did.

...Do you honestly believe in that whole Hollywood hoax? At least have some respect for the guy, he just died yesterday for Christ's sake.

Rest in peace Neil, you were an inspiration for a generation.

No, the moon landing hoax conspiracies are complete crap. Learn some respect.

Did you guys hear about the moon landing that aired on TV was confirmed fake by NASA? Obviously, it was, regardless. But they ccouldn't air the actual moon landing because Neil said "Holy mother f***ing s***." when he stepped out.

Didn't know if anyone already know that.
Sorry for being noobish.

Well, there are a few things I find very odd in that:
1. NASA wouldn't want to lose their respect by actually confirming they tried fooling millions of people.
2. Just because he sweared once you think they wouldn't air it?
3. It's all fake rumours that were made against Neil Armstrong, I'm sure he was the first man on the moon, for real.

Arguments aren't bad unless they get nasty.

At any rate, of course a conspiracy website will say it was a hoax. C'mon now.

Oh geez, a consipracy website says it was a hoax.
What's next? A Nintendo-oriented website talking about Sony?

Every single "point" against the Apollo landing has been proven false, as proven in the site Nin3DS linked; http://www.skepdic.com/apollo.html .

You can't really say anything against the website that says it's a hoax. Both of the websites that were linked are both by people who came up with their "theory" or solution. None of them were by official authorities or whatever you call it.
