NES Blinking Green Screen?

A few weeks ago I had recieved a free NES from a friend. So I plug it in, press the power button, and find myself looking at a flashing green screen with no different point of progression. At first, I figured it was the game, so naturally (like anyone would do), I blew in the connectors and set it back into the cartridge slot. Turn it on again, and the blinking green screen comes up again. I put it another game making sure the game wasn't fried, and here it is again. The blinking green screen!

At this point, I'm figuring that the connectors to the game cartridges in the NES are pretty much worn out, which I think is probably the case.
Do I need to buy replacement connectors for the NES, or do they just need cleaning?
