Epic Games‘ Alain Tascan is taking on the top job at Netflix‘s growing games division.

Most recently, Tascan served as executive vice president of game development at Epic Games, where he oversaw all first party game development for “Fortnite,” “Lego Fortnite,” “Rocket League” and “Fall Guys.” In his new role, Tascan will report directly to Netflix co-CEO Greg Peters.

Tascan’s appointment to Netflix’s president of games comes one month after the streamer announced Facebook and EA vet Mike Verdu, previously Netflix’s vice president of games, would be shifting into a new role focused on “transformative innovation in game creation and development.”

Hopefully he does well.

Netflix just hired Alain Tascan from Epic Games to lead their gaming team. We all know that he's like a superstar in the gaming industry becuase he has worked on huge games like Fortnite and Rocket League.

Honestly, this is exciting news for gamers and Netflix fans as well. I’m one of those that await the kind of cool games they'll come up with.

I Hope there would be physical versions of bigger size video games made by Netflix since not everyone has a good internet connection to stream or download large game files in a few hours or less.

Some gamers also enjoy collecting physical versions of games, and re-selling or trading games they own to get back some of their money, or trading their old games with friends with friend's old games they didn't play yet.
