sourceNeversoft, which created the Tony Hawk and Guitar Hero games, is no more.
After teaming up with Infinity Ward for the development of Call of Duty: Ghosts, parent company Activision announced back in May that the two studios would merge to create a single “super-studio.” The studio will retain the Infinity Ward name, effectively retiring the Neversoft name and iconic eye logo.
A model of the company’s logo was set ablaze by studio members to commemorate the closure.
Infinity Ward's Call of Duty will be its first since Activision switched the series to a three year development cycle. Sledgeammer Games is handling development on this year’s entry into the series, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, which will launch on Nov. 4.
