New 3DS XLs Coming West

Announced today at a Gamestop game conference is a blast from the past times 2 as Nintendo plans to release a limited edition 3DS XL which is mostly skinned in a retro NES controller style. Sadly it does not look as good as the GBA SP NES skin handheld but it still looks pretty sleek.



Also coming west are the new Persona Q and Super Smash Bros themed 3DS handhelds which we reported on eariler this year. Please note that Nintendo has confirmed that none of these three handhelds will be the New 3DS (N3DS) as that is not due out till next year.



Nice as this is, it just shows how badly Nintendo can't seem to manage things very well these days by giving their new systems bad names and releasing such nice themed ones right before they become obsolete. Despite that fact will you be getting any of these?

The NES one looks sexy. Makes me want to tell the cashier, "shut up and take my dough". 

The Persona Q and Super Smash Bros. designs aren't that bad but I wouldn't purchase either unless something happens to my current 3DS XL.

If this was the N3DS with the NES design I would have bought it, since I also own the GBA SP version.

If I had the money I'd buy it.  

Already have a 3DS though.
