New DS colors

Nintendo plans to drop the price of the DSi and DSi XL in Japan the weekend following E3.

They will also be releasing three new colors for the DSi XL: Yellow, Blue and Green.

That's it! No fancy names like Wine or Cheese Wine or Puce. Just Yellow, Blue and Green. Reminds me both of children's toys and the Super Nintendo control pad. They're all very strong, simple, bold colours. I like. Though they've only been revealed for the Japanese market, hopefully they also get released in the West. Or, better still, they're the launch colours for the upcoming 3DS.

In conjunction with the new range of consoles, the DSi XL (or DSi LL as it's known there) will have its price cut in Japan from ¥20,000 (USD$220) to ¥18,000 (USD$195). The DSi will also see a drop, from ¥18,900 (USD$200) to ¥15,000 (USD$165). And the DS Lite? It's recommended price goes from ¥16,800 to whatever the hell retailers want to charge, so they can clear out their stock.

I don't get how people can fall for this stuff
It's not about the color of the colsole but what's inside.
I would never even think of paying more for the color, I had a pink DS that I got secondhand for cheap.
It broke though so now I have a normal black one.

I wouldn't abandon my current console for another that is the same but a different color. But when I pick it out for the first time I am picky on what color I get.

The blue one is nice, but so are the others. And I need a new DS. Every single DS I had the L+R buttons broke. And the warranty is always up (Nintendo probably plans this crap... -_-). I'll get the DSi after the price drop...

Eh, the green looks nice. But I wouldn't go out of my way to get it. I usually get black for my DS, just because that's what they have the most in stock.

I know a lot of people do, and some don't even trade or sell of their current one. which is nuts.
