Well, the movie was pretty good for reinventing the franchise. nowhere near as good as the halloween remake, but solid, nonetheless.
The entire original Friday the 13th movie, where jason's mother is the killer, is actually sumed up during the opening credits, and jason takes over from there.
There were some really tense scenes, creepy music to match the mood, and some pretty horrifying kill scenes, but not over doing as the original series starting doing. There's actually a neat story, where a guy is looking for his missing sister; similar to the sub-plot in friday 4: the final chapter.
It was a cool nod to the fans, to have potato sack jason, and later on, the hockey mask jason ...
Recommended for those looking for a decent slasher movie, and any jason fan ... or just to see a couple of hot, naked chick
