The first Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm was PlayStation 3-only. The second will be multiplatform for both PS3 and Xbox 360.
The second will also be based off the Shippuden anime series, and include cooperative and competitive play, with support for four players.
All this is revealed in the upcoming issue of Japan's V Jump magazine. That's right, we're so excited that we couldn't wait for the magazine to actually come out before passing along the info!
In Japan, the Ultimate Ninja Storm sequel will be known as Naruto Shippuden Narutimate Storm 2, reflecting the Japanese naming for the series. A release outside of Japan hasn't been announced yet, so we don't know what the international name will be.
Jump's exclusive reveal isn't really much of a reveal at all. It's just a tease, presumably coinciding with an announcement at the Jump Festa event in Chiba this weekend.
Jump Festa will also see playable builds of Naruto Shippuden Kizuna Drive (Namco Bandai, PSP) and Naruto Shipuden Ninjutsu Zenkai! Chaku Rush (Takara Tomy, DS).
All these Naruto games are scheduled for Japanese release in 2010.
