EA and Popcap’s popular Tetris Blitz is shutting down in April but they have another version ready to take its place. Available today on iOS and Android, the simply named Tetris.

Created by game company N3twork as part of a multi-year partnership with the Tetris Company, this new version of Tetris launches with just a simple single-player game mode. There are five different themes, including a nostalgia-inducing 8-Bits Game Boy theme and if you like you can disable ads for a simple $4.99 USD payment.
 
This sounds like a good mobile game for Tetris fans who want to play Tetris on mobile phone. But, I feel most people rather just play Tetris games on a web browser or Tetris PC game.

$4.99 seems somewhat expensive to disable ads.

I feel Tetris can earn more money selling the paid version for $2 or less because more people will buy it.

But,Tetris may earn most of its money from its free version with ads where one ad click from a player maybe worth $1 or more. I read the maker of Flappy Birds is now super rich from ad clicks and views on Flappy Bird's free version,
