New Resident Evil Film?

Bloody-disgusting.com is reporting that a fourth film based on the Resident Evil videogame franchise is on the way.

Yes, word on the street is that Sony is looking to get the next RE flick out on September 17, 2010. Titled Resident Evil: Afterlife, it is said to take place in Tokyo, picking up where the last film let off.

Star Milla Jovovich is said to be on board as Alice once again. We can assume much bloodshed and zombie gore shall ensue…

I am kinda mixed on the RE movies. One hand they are good action flicks, but on the other hand there is no Resident Evil game story or characters related to it. Anderson does decent job, but certainly not the best job on the films.
