Few interesting new discoveries for games that'll be announced this E3. First up, seems Lucas Arts is working on a MMO game for the console. Probably based on Star Wars.

There's also a budget Wii U racing game by Maximum Family Games LLC. Doesn't feel me with confidence.

But the interesting one is a racing game supposedly call 'Concept Grand Prix'. Think Nintendo's answer to Gran Turismo and Forza, with Nintendo potentially getting a competitor to rival the more realistic racing games on the market. It seems to have some interesting 'features':

Realistic physics
Extension car customisation
R & D tests like Gran Turismo's licensing system
Contest to promote title
Hoping real life car makers draw on fan ideas
Monthly challenges where you have to design certain types of cars
12 player online racing
Race for your company or something

Apparently they want to move into the realistic racing game market for a Wii U game. Good luck.

So yes, thoughts on these future Wii U games?

It all seems sort of intriguing (not that any of those games really interest me). But the big question is "is any of this actually true"? Because it's all just unsubstantiated rumour at the moment.

I really hope the racing one is true, as I love Gran Turismo (I still play GT2). It really would be something to get 'gearheads' on Nintendo's side.

Realistic games yuck

Would be even better if they tried combining the realistic game with Mario Kart, but will be interesting to see a realistic Nintendo game, for once..

Realistic games yuck

What do you have against realistic games? This game isn't even made yet, but you're judging it. I've seen plenty of good realistic games and plenty of good unrealistic games. All it is is an art style. Not playing a game for it being realistic is pretty narrow-minded.

I've sometimes had fun with racing games, but I don't really see the need for having more than one per console. I'm sure the Wii U will get some decent racing game ports anyway.

I think they can all look a bit the same after a while. They've sorta been done to death.
