New Xbox IP in the works

Though Microsoft remains committed to its tentpole franchises such as Halo, Gears of War, and Forza, the company is looking beyond those games to brand new franchises for Xbox One. Xbox boss Phil Spencer said in a new interview that Microsoft does in fact have unannounced new IP in the works, going as far to say these games will "push the boundaries."
"Yes, there are first-party internal and external studios working on games that are not announced," Spencer told IGN. "I think that will always be true, just to be clear."

Seems like Xbox is starting to realize they rely a little bit too much on Halo and Forza as of recent and are looking at getting some new things out to us. Interested to hear what this exactly entails. 

He also commented that he does not want Rare to become a Kinect Sports team and he wants them to make something that really feels like a Rare game. Pretty interested to see what this will be.

*wipes tear* Yeah, no. The day of Rare is gone sadly, all MS did was buy a husk of a studio that is destroying their own great IPs.

When compared to Sony and Nintendo, MS really has no IPs of their own if you think about it.

Yeah I agree Demon, they rely on a couple of their IPs way too much and don't experiment enough. Hopefully that changes though.

They have all of Rare's IPs, sadly all titles they used have been crap.

What do you think would work for Xbox? They tend to have way too much FPS and need something in another genre.

To me Xbox always seems to be the hardcore system for M rated games and shooters. I don't see Xbox ever getting many friendly games.
