After so many Switch revisions and the long lifespan the console will have, I doubt it. However, this could be an opportunity to have a Game And Watch for games like Kid Icarus and Metroid. Since they seem to be obsessed with the idea. Also what else could they do, besides selling the same games over and over in different packages?

I think it is possible for Nintendo to show teaser trailers of their next console in 2022 if they are currently working on their next console.

Yeah I don't get why Sony, Nintendo, ect. just don't ship on their own and cut out the middle man.

Because big retailers want to sell them instead and get their cut.
Consoles have been scalped at launch for decades, so I doubt they care at this point.

I know for a fact they make little to no money from console sales, its the software sales where stores get their money.
If anything, its to draw in the foot traffic.

Yeah, I bet game sales are insane. For the cost to bring them in might be next to nothing and if they stay in the store long enough in a place like Walmart they'll get clearance. But if it was exclusively a game store then yeah more profit to them.
