Namco Bandai has announced that it is to publish the fabulously crafted Level-5 RPG Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch in the US and Europe in 2012.
Announced in 2008 and first shown off at the Tokyo Game Show in 2010, Ni no Kuni has been widely rumoured for Western release. Level-5 all but confirmed that it would be coming to the US at this year's TGS, but this is the first official confirmation of a European release.
Developed in collaboration with Studio Ghibli, Ni no Kuni looks like a cross between a top-tier Japanese animation and a living watercolour. It tells the story of a little boy whose storybook comes to life after the death of his mother.
Level-5's President Akihiro Hino had this to say: "It was a momentous experience to create a game with artists who represent Japan as much as Studio Ghibli and Mr. Hisaishi do. We sincerely want to share this title with the entire world."
