I played with friends and honestly, that's all its really good for. The game is very janky and the jank is fun when you and your friends are duking it out, but when going against an AI it just sucks. That doesn't mean it's a bad game. It's just not great to play alone. I haven't tried the online, though, because my internet is so bad it won't even connect to Smash Ultimate's online so I haven't even tried it.

I see the complaint for no voices, but here's the thing about that, I don't know what's going on behind the scenes of that. I'm not sure how much Nick gave them to make the game so Idk if voice acting was in the budget. Even reusing clips, you'd have to pay the VAs. So I kinda understand in a way. I hope if this game sells well and gets popular, they can add in voices.
The music is lacking, but the songs they have are pretty good from what I remember.
I can't confirm or deny the bad balancing or spam characters because I didn't run into those problems, but I saw an interview with the devs on HungryBox's channel and they're going to be following the meta closely and balance from there. As of now, they want people to break the game as much as possible since other people can find flaws easier than their play testers.
Hit boxes can be bs sometimes and I won't lie, it sucks, but it's funny. Smash also has that problem though. It's just worse here.
It can be better, but it's also not a dumpster fire like I was expecting. It's definitely gear more towards Pro Smash players though. As of now, Idk how much the casual crowd would like this game, but they also said they want the game to appeal to both some how.

I played this again with some friends yesterday and they added costumes finally. However, it was just one costume for each character, which is kind of lame.
sounds like they need a bigger development team to cover more but who knows.

My friend actually got to try the alpha of the game, but there was an NDA so he couldn't tell me anything major, but he said the game is a lot of fun.
