Night Trap Revamped not coming to Nintendo systems because of 'bad blood'?

Well, I'll give the makers of this (probably completely unneeded revamp of a not so good Sega CD game) some credit, they're certainly staying true to history:

From their FAQ:

Why won't there be Nintendo versions of the game?

Ever hear the term "never burn bridges?" Well, Howard Lincoln, the former president of Nintendo US, made our lives miserable during the 1994 Senate Hearings on Video Game Violence. Not only did he quietly suggest to congressman, though the use of Nintendo-supplied and heavily edited footage, that they should demonize Night Trap rather than Nintendo's Mortal Combat, but he also declared publicly that Night Trap would never appear on a Nintendo system. And he was right: as much as Nintendo desperately needs publishers to support their third-place platform, we won't be one of them. There's just too much bad blood between us and them.

So in other words; Nintendo tried to ban us in the 90s, so we'll refuse to ever work with them in the future.

That's either admirable dedication or somewhat disturbing grudge holding...

Doubt Nintendo would even allow it on a system anyway; it shows live-action (arguably) scantily-clad girls and campy C-movie deaths. Can't imagine a LA FMV game on a Nintendo console anyway.

The game looks lousy anyway (At least the old footage, didn't see anything new?) and it doesn't really fit with any of Nintendo's other offerings. I personally wouldn't spend my money on it, even with revamped film/graphics/story so I could really care less about it.

I do think they're being stupid for not attempting to get their product to the widest number of people available though. In this day and age, it's better to offer to everyone, and most of the gaming industry producers besides first party (Something's gotta differentiate between all those black gaming boxes!) have realized that. Seems a poor decision on their part to artificially limit their audience, whether Nintendo would have agreed to sell the game for their consoles or not.
