Read from VGC:

“There’s no end in sight to the semiconductor shortage at this point,” Shuntaro Furukawa said on Tuesday (via Wall Street Journal) as the company reported its financial results for the year ended March 31, 2022.

Nintendo sold 23.06 million Switch consoles during the 12-month period, representing a 20% decline from the previous year when the console peaked at 28.83 million units.

The company expects to ship 21 million Switch consoles before the end of its current fiscal year in March 2023, which would represent a 9.8% decline from the previous year and a 37% decline from the year before that.

Hopefully, the Chip shortage situation will not get worst for the Switch, so most Switch buyers can eventually buy a Switch without the need to buy a more expensive Switch from a Switch scalper.

I heard the US, and other countries are investing in making tech in the US, India, etc, but it may take some time for the chip shortage to end.
I haven't heard that and if they are then your right it will take time until the chip shortage is over.
Despite this they finally reduced the price of the Switch finally.
Yes, but they are still expensive.

There is a chip shortage but is there a money shortage too? Yeah, I think the lower price should be expected. I'll just pretend this was never a thing and leave my Switch at home.

Do you think the console is going to be sold as a loss? I think some are already but not sure if it's Nintendo ones unless they are older.

All consoles from Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft, ect. are sold at a loss, it's why they pump us for other money like online memberships and what not.

Yep indeed.

The Ps5 should cost around $ 800 - $ 1,000, you need around $ 1,200 to build a gaming PC with the same power as a Ps5.

It’s been standard business practice since Sony started it with the PS1.

Don’t tell that to PC gamers, they all think that you can build a better one for $500.
