But apparently, most of their own franchises (like Metroid) weren't good enough to get the same thing.

Hooray for being selective? Or is this just Nintendo forgetting about their own brands for a moment?

I thought this was really nice of Nintendo I'm glad they acknowledge the other competition. I used to think they were self-absorbed and only thought about themselves.
