Whoa, at first I didn't see "counterfeiter" so I thought it was "Nintendo faces jail after making a million dollars in illegal sales"

Look in the comments under the article! TheUltimateKoopa commented! Is it the TUK?

Also, I hope this guy fries! I hate pirates... except Johnny Depp.

"Mario is watching" And I click Nintendo's ap page and it's a pic of old skewl Mario all srs faic. They were just asking for it when they decided to do that to a bigtime gaming company..

Lol. People asking for more than a year for a victimless crime.

I hate people sometimes.
This.
He didn't hurt anyone, and most people who buy games from him wouldn't buy original games anyways.
1.year.is.enough.
(And MAYBE some muney)

-TUK was always a Gramm4r NaZi, perhaps it's really him?

It is not a victimless crime. The 962 grand he made rightfully belongs to Nintendo, and based on the fact that they're bootlegged games, I'll bet Nintendo would've had triple the amount for selling that many legitimate copies.

He will face very serious consequences. The corporations own the courts, and this guy's a nobody.

That's what I was thinking.
It's him. The only thing that surprised me was that he didn't try to get the last word. Must have been proven wrong and couldn't think of a way to fight back.

Anyone who thinks that copyright infringement is victimless is wrong.

Heck, think of it this way. If Nintendo ripped you off (say, took your game and sold it without your permission), wouldn't you sue them? Yes? Then why shouldn't it also work the other way around?

Oh, and to people who think that this is shows the 'value' people perceive games to be...

Get real. Nintendo could never compete with pirates on 'value' terms, you can't beat free for price. Or in this case, Nintendo wouldn't make any money if they offered games at the rate this fraudster was selling them at (on flash cards I think in the hundreds).

This. Just because no one is physically hurt doesn't mean no one is a victim of crime.

Piracy is stealing. It's illegal. If you're going to break the law, at least acknowledge that you are breaking the law. Don't try to justify it and pretend you're not stealing from anyone. Own your shit.
