The first direct of the year is coming... tomorrow! The 40-minute livestream will kick-off at 5:00 p.m. ET on YouTube, and give Nintendo fans their first meaningful glimpse into the console manufacturer’s year ahead as they talk about games coming out in 2022.
 
We'll probably see Fire Emblem (Geneology of the Holy War remake), Mario Kart 9, Donkey Kong, and of course Kirby. I wish we had Kid Icarus on Switch but that's far from what generally gets made. Maybe even some Persona ports on Switch to be announced.

Love another Icarus game, but I think that is shelfed for some time.

What Fire Emblem remake?

I hope they do announce MK 9, I like to get it in but not on the old re-release of MK 8.

A Super Famicom game. Noted because it hasn't gotten a rerelease and we don't know what Intelligent Systems is working on.
 
I'm not expecting BotW2 news, but I'll welcome it. I'd love to see a port of Xenoblade Chronicles X to have the trifecta of XBC games. The only thing they're guaranteed to show off is Kirby because it comes out next month. I'm gonna keep my expectations low. Unlike most of Twitter who had BotW2, Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Kid Icarus, and Switch 2 trending earlier.

Gonna get Lego Brawls because it's free. Everything else is cool and all like Wii Sports and Klonoa, however, there is still a lot to hope for later too. imo
 
Easily one of the best directs in a while. I don't have time for all the amazing games.

I never played Force Unleased so now I can.
I skipped the Kirby trailer because I want to avoid spoilers, but thankfully that's the game that has the sooner release.
Nintendo Switch Sports is hype and I can't wait to become an online bowling God
MOTHER 1 AND EARTHBOUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Which I probably won't play for a while, but I'm happy they're here.
Mario Kart 8 will never die, but that's fine because 48 courses is a lot. I wonder if there will other things they add with it, but I doubt it.
XENOBLADE CHRONICLES 3 THAT LOOKS LIKE IT CONNECTS 1 AND 2 AND WRAPS UP THE STORY I'M SO HYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYPE!

They didn't even need BotW2 for this one. It just kept hitting home runs!
