Computer and Video Games is reporting that Nintendo filed a number of interesting trademarks as of late, but what exactly could these trademarks mean? Wii Handle, Mii Audition, Soma Bringer and Nintendo Magic all make us scratch our heads, but we’re betting that the Wii Body Controller is just a new name for the Wii Fit Board. Apparently, the company also renewed the Pikmin license, which is good news for gamers hoping the flowery tots make a return on Nintendo's consoles.
However, trademarks don’t always mean something is up. For example, Nintendo has trademarked hundreds of items, including such things as Zelda Gaiden, Game Boy Chorus, GBA TV, Sound Fantasy and Time Boy. Granted, some of these things either were canned, changed names, or became completely different projects altogether, but you never truly know what’s up Nintendo’s sleeve.
Nintendo had no official comment on any of these newly discovered trademarks.
