With Black Friday just around the corner, there are tons of Nintendo fans scouring the internet for some of the best Nintendo deals out there. Unfortunately, a Nintendo Switch won't be among the gaming items getting a price cut over the Thanksgiving holiday – nor anytime in the near future – according to Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa.
First reported by VideoGamesChronicle, during a recent financial results briefing, Furukawa was asked about lowering the price of the Nintendo Switch over the coming months and years. In response, Furukawa said, “We want to maintain the value of our products and sell them at their current price points for as long as possible, so we have no plans to reduce prices at this time.
We want to improve profitability by increasing the number of units sold and selling the Nintendo Switch family of hardware for as long as possible.”
