A patent filed by Nintendo for a saddle has been discovered, detailing an inflatable cushion that houses the Wii remote in an attempt to simulate horse-riding.
Making Nintendo's Vitality Sensor seem positively sane, the Riding Saddle uses the nunchuck to mimic reins, and can also double up as a sword or lasso. The device is not just limited to equestrian pursuits, either; the patent claims the peripheral can also simulate the experience of riding other animals, including "bulls, camels, elephants, burros, dolphins, whales" and stretching to "dragons, griffons, unicorns, giant eagles."
