Depends on the website.
If a website can get from little user base to zillions of visitors a day that click on ads, it can be worthwhile.
Otherwise not.
And all news sites that are not extreme left wing propaganda not only get no income, but eventually get banned altogether at some point, regardless of their sizes.

It depends on website, forum, news etc. Also the demographic is a big factor. Myself, I hate ads that is over distracting but if it do not slow or affect the site, then I have no problem with it, even if it's many.
I have adblocker installed, and whitelisted every website except for YouTube.
Popular YouTubers are now abusing their ads option way too much, making their videos unwatchable.

I own VGR.com and we have a PAID writing staff of 15 individuals. There is nothing wrong with ads. From my perspective, I am providing 15 people with the opportunity to earn money online through a job and therefore need to show ads. There is nothing wrong with website owners making money from ads, after all owning a website is a business.

No it's just VGR. I just inverted the letter R.
