It is possible that now that it is easier to hook up your "newer" PC with an HDMI port to a HDTV with a HDMI cable that some people use their PC to game on their larger TVs with a PC game controller, or keyboard and mouse like gaming.

However, bigger 20-30 inch LCD displays for computers also came down in price, so I think people with big computer monitors won't bother hooking up their TVs to their computers.

If cloud gaming like http://www.onlive.com/ which streams games to your PC and does all the processing and heavy work becomes popular, I can see PC might being a strong competitor to consoles again.

I guess so, graphic wise.

I'm on my desktop hooked up to a 32" LCD right now.
Yeah, the games are great! I can play fallout on max setting, which looks better than on consoles.
But there is the problem with game release dates, if they get released for PC at all.
The piracy is the cause of this.
