Note all the adverts for Ocarina of Time 3D? Well, I just realised something, the quotes are from reviews of the Nintendo 64 version!

The above quote is from a Nintendo 64 era, 1990s Gamespot review.

And another is from Eurogamer's general Zelda retrospective.

Sorry Nintendo, but this is probably nearly considered false advertising. Yes, the 3D one is great, but really, you can't just recycle the N64 version's reviews and quotes, especially considering magazines tend to either rate down for remakes, or their edited controls/physics or up for the improved graphics and extra features.
 
Those darn folks at Nintendo! Not sure how I should be reacting to this news, but because I probably won't get the game (PLEASE DON'T KILL ME) I guess it doesn't matter. Still, kinda poor work recycling reviews.
 
This lessens my opinion of Nintendo.............
 
Gawd, that IS sneaky of them, heh. Come on, as soon as the game comes out I'll bet they won't need those old reviews, it already sounds incredibly popular.

In fact, I was talking to an employee at a local video game retailer the other week, and he said this: "You know, it was one of Nintendo's most popular games, so it's going to sell well." And I said "Yeah, and now it's on a handheld..." "It'll sell even MORE copies." He replied. In fact, whilst talking to him I found out that the reason he's got a 3DS is for OoT 3D, and I wouldn't be surprised. It's one heck of a game, and that's coming from someone who isn't too greatly interested in the series!
 
I don't think recycling the reviews is too big a deal. I mean everyone who is buying the game pretty much knows what there getting into. It's still mostly the same game so the things people said about it still apply. Besides nintendo powers reviews simply said making the BEST, BETTER. I don't think anyone will be disappointed. Plenty of review sites have all tested OOT and they all seem to have nothing but positive things to say about it.
 
True. Although would it really have taken long to go to, you know, the front page of half the gaming internet sites and just take quotes from their completely positive Ocarina of Time 3D reviews?

Well the reviews have only been going up in the last week (the reputable ones, at least), and the ads have been running for about a fortnight now.
Also, the only add I've seen running in the UK is this one, which specifically states "In 1998 they said..." and then gives some review quotes. So no problems there.
 
Well, I was looking more at website ads for the game and what not. I think at least a few of those have any text in such a small font it's hard to tell.
