Nsider Forums Close...Forever?

Nintendo's Nsider Forums have been a source of lively Nintendo-centric debate and discussion for over four years, and now, it's closed down. The forum will be available in read only form until September 24th. Then, poof! Gone!

According to Nintendo they are "working on a major overhaul to Nintendo.com to support the continued success of Nintendo DS and Wii."

"While their future remains uncertain, in the interim we invite our fans to build on the spirit of community by starting their own Nintendo discussion sites."

It might not be all over for the Nintendo community, however, as Nintendo reports "We'll see you soon elsewhere on the Web."

Man, sad to hear that the Nintendo community came to an end. I hope they can make up for this in the near future.

That's sad. I hope they bring back the forums some day. Too bad we didn't know this before the boards went to read-only. We could've tried to draw all the posters there to come here.
