ast week, data posted to the popular benchmark GFXBench (since removed) suggested that Nvidia has a new tablet reference design coming to market, possibly similar to the reference design platform the company built for Tegra 4. That design led to EVGA’s Note 7, suggesting that the Tegra K1 could find a home in a follow-up device. Details on the product point to a 2048×1536 display, a quad-core Cortex-A15, a listed amount of 1.7GB of RAM (likely 2GB in total, with a slice reserved for the GPU) and in this case, 13GB of storage.
 
The clock speed on the Cortex-A15 is going to raise some eyebrows, since a 2.2GHz core clock would be substantially faster than the 1.8GHz clock that the Tegra Note 7 featured. This gain, however, is in line (if a bit conservative) with what Nvidia initially predicted:

Crazy that the clock speeds of tablets are 2.2 GHz core clock,  and has 2 GB of RAM. The 2048×1536 resolution display sounds nice as well.
 
Hopefully, this gaming tablet comes with a controller instead of using touchscreen controls which are not very good for playing traditional non-touchscreen games like FPS shooters, racing, and action games.
 
If they make some good games this would sell pretty quickly.
