What is one thing you hate about animes that many of them do?

The one thing I mostly hate is recap episodes. I feel they are a waste.

Overuse of flashbacks, which is done quite often in some animes. I'm fine with flashbacks, unless they are pointless and add nothing to the episode.

Any time they trot out "power of love" or "power of friendship" as the solution. Whenever that happens I seriously want to just see the antagonist whip a gun out and shoot each of those idiots (that claim love/friendship as the ultimate power) in the head and kill them off for good.

I hate terrible pacing.
Dragonball Z was the worst for this... Especially during the Frieza saga where there were episodes where so little happened they could be skipped without consequence to the story.

when I first watched DBZ back before I knew what Manga or anime even was, I enjoyed every episode of DBZ.

Same here, when I watched it I enjoyed most of the episodes (even fillers) because at the time it was one of the first real anime I watched from start to finish. (Previously I'd caught episodes of Dragonball and Samurai Pizza Cats, but I never followed them from start to finish.)

Looking back at DBZ (now that I'm a bit older and have watched other anime) it's pretty clear that DBZ's pacing was bad at times and it had a few issues. Don't get me wrong though, DBZ is still an enjoyable series and still holds up pretty good.

Another thing that kind of bothers me is excessive recapping.
Beet the Vandel Buster is an example where they could have cut back the recaps. For those who haven't seen it, some episodes had as much as 6 minutes at the start of every episode that was recap. The anime was pretty interesting, but if you'd watched more than one episode at a time you'd see a ton of recapping.

I don't hate anything about anime. It's perfect.

About the fillers, I have nothing against them. I like anime mainly because of the characters, and the fillers allow me to look at them more often.

Fillers and recaps by far, and shows that have to explain everything to the audience over and over. They're the ones that are more directed towards kids I guess though.

Well, some anime are bad and I am not gonna name them..but in general, I don't like how anime tend to use any concept for its story. Like they use gods, demons, countries, people...whatnot.
