I'm just wondering if anyone has used a online college before. And is it better then going to a college yourself and being in a classroom all day?

I believe that in the world of education, nothing is better than face-to-face between student and educator (parents help too).

My brother goes to an online college and likes it, but he's also really easily distracted and it's tough sometimes for him to meet up (virtually, I mean) with his instructors/fellow students/etc for questions and assignments.

I went to an offline college and liked it (as much as anyone could like school, I guess), and I didn't have to worry about my internet cutting out, not being able to get hold of a professor, etc. Plus there was more offline events and clubs and things I could go to, which isn't really possible with an online college.

I think it depends on what you want to do and if you're a people person or not. I'm not overly outgoing, but I'd prefer not actually spending ALL my time in front of a computer. My brother's friendly but he prefers computer screens to faces, so online college works better for him. (Plus he's majoring in computer animation, which doesn't require a lot of face-to-face time anyway.)

I read on Wikipedia some celebrities enroll in online colleges because of their work schedule and traveling. Plus, it might not be very easy for celebs to go to a regular college campus because of the paparazzi and fans who want to take their pictures.

Online colleges are good for people who have a busy work schedule, need to travel a lot, disabled, can't afford a car to drive to college, and are self-motivated. It is best to talk to your school guidance counselor to see if online college is for you since they might have booklets about what online colleges are like.

I disagree that online college is good for self-motivated people. I am self-motivated, but I wouldn't take online college bcause I want better education from a real college

I disagree that by going to an online college your education would be worse since there are some people who are happy with their online courses, and how much they learned from online courses.

While there are some people who are dissatisfied with their education which they got from a regular college because they felt their teacher did not know how to teach, did not care, or was too lazy to teach.
