Online Free For All PS4 Players This Weekend

Sony has announced that PS4 owners won't need to be PS Plus subscribers in order to make use of all online multiplayer features this weekend.

Kicking off at 12am PT / 5am ET / 8am GMT on Friday, September 26 and running through the weekend to 12am PT / 5am ET / 9am GMT on Monday, September 29, you'll be able to play a heap of titles online without being an active PS Plus subscriber.

Recent titles the company is citing as being available include Destiny, Madden NFL 15, The Last of Us Remastered, Watch Dogs, FIFA 15 and Diablo III, though naturally any title will be available.

I don't get why this was done at all. Most people would have PS Plus already if they were interested. Can't be that they need more subscribers, surely?

I guess they are seeing it as a way of allowing those who are unsure to give it a try but even so, just one weekend I personally don't feel it enough to ensure that you would be fully interested and it would be worth your while to purchase it and become a PS Plus member. Can't imagine there would be many anyway who do not have it already who would be interested in taking advantage of the free weekend.

Well you need PS+ to play online, if you have no intrest in playing online then it doesn't matter if there is a free weekend or not.
