When you upgrade to another OS i.e. Windows 10, does it irk you when the DVDs you have bought are no longer supported?
We have several games that worked great on 8.1 but after upgrading, most don’t play good or at all. It’s a bummer as they were good games LOL

What games were they exactly? it could be a compatibility issue

I don't like how some games like my PC ones are disks and I would need an external drive to put them in. However, I'm sure they are already in digital form and I could play them and I haven't gone searching for them specifically to work because I don't feel like playing them again for being obsolete.

I find it annoying that some older games may no longer work in Windows 10 or 11. But, there are virtual machine software which may help with running older games in a Virtual machine with Windows XP or other OX installed on it,

It definitely is a compatibility issue. It's the Hidden Objects On Hand Software of the Legends series.

I liked having the disk because then I could take that game with me when we went away. But I do see your point.
Pretty sure Windows 10 has a backwards compatibility feature to play old stuff.
Interesting!

I know some people keep a machine that runs on older OS just to play games or do other things.
