Today's announcement sweetens the pot even more for backers. Namco Bandai is in talks to bring Pac-Man, Galaga, Ridge Racer, and Tekken to the Ouya. While it's unclear if these games will be ports of their mobile and tablet counterparts or something specifically built for the Ouya, we're excited to see just what the Ouya is capable of.

Not satisfied with the choices? Ouya has solicited users to sound off on Namco Bandai's Facebook about which other games you'd like to see.

Finally, and most importantly, the Ouya will now be getting four controller support.

You can add an additional controller for $30.

Cool, I like to play Ridge Racer, Tekken, Pac-Man and other Bandai games. I hope Ridge Racer 4 also comes to the Ouya since RR4 was my favourite Ridge Racer game.

The four controller support also sounds great for four player multi-player split screen games like racing games and FPS games like Golden Eye.

$30 per extra controller also sounds like a decent price.

I'm really shocked how much support this console is getting, and at the same time I'm not happy.

The game console is $99 dollars, so if it has some epic exclusive games in the future, you won't have to spend many hundreds of dollars just to buy the console to play exclusive games which are not available for the big 3 console makers.

But, I be more upset if SquareEnix, EA, and other game developers get the idea from Ouya of also making consoles which can only play their exclusive games, services, and apps, so they can control the games, hardware, and online services like online multiplayer, online video, and apps rather then following the rules of the big 3 console makers.

If companies don't make any more consoles, people will just use non-game console electronics like PC, laptop, tablet, and smartphone as game consoles by using a PS3 controller, Wii controller, and other controllers and joysticks to play exclusive, and emulated games.

Some people claim that plugging in a game console controller or computer joystick into a cell phone/Smartphones, tablet, or computer is also a console. I read that people also use emulator programs to make old Arcade machines from computers with joysticks which can also be consider a console.

I think if companies don't make console, people will still use their computer, cell phones, Tablets, and other devices as consoles by plugging in a controller for them to play exclusive games which are only available on cell phones/Smartphones, Tablets, and PC, and emulated games.

I think the Ouya is an excellent idea. There's a large group of independent game developers and programmers who may have excellent product but nowhere to publicize it. The ouya's compatibility with independently developed games is what I think it it's greatest asset. Instead of clambering to apple to get their games on the app store, they have the option of getting it on the Ouya. Not to mention that since it's played on a tv with a controller, fighters and other more complex controller games will have a new haven, since these games don't do too well on a touch screen.

I plan on getting an ouya as soon as they come out simply because it brings something new to the gaming industry, its individuality as a console, and its versatility with a large demographic of gamers.

I agree this is good for indie/small game developers, and students and hobbyists who are interested in making video games, but don't have a console to test, and share their game with other gamers which may be interested in buying their games.

I also read that the Ouya will be good for online service providers like Netflix, Hulu, etc since the Ouya is more open, so it is easy for service providers to provide their services on Ouya. Plus, hardware controller makers like Logitech, Razer, and MadCatz can more easily make new types of controllers for the Ouya since the Ouya hardware is more Open and hackable to allow people to use third party hardware and software on it. I also see people plugging in keyboards and Mice to play First person shooter games, Real Time Strategy, MMO, Minecraft, and Sim games where the keyboard and mouse can be better to play games which require more buttons and a mouse to play a game more easily/quickly with shortcut keys.

I am also planning to get the Ouya when it comes out, or when there is a price drop to $80-70 or less which might happen sooner then regular consoles like the PS3, 360, Wii, etc because the parts for the Ouya are massed produce, and are also used on mobile phones and tablets, so when the Tegra 4 video card comes out, the Ouya will cost less since more phones and tablets will use the Tegra 4 video card, so there will be less of a demand for the older Tegra 3, and more available Tegra 3 chips to sell to Ouya at a cheaper price.

all I know is I want all three consoles but I lack the funds and time to play them. A 4th console? I never get around to playing it.

At least the Ouya is $99, so fewer people will lack the funds to buy it since it cost less then 2 new games, or 1 game and multiple DLC purchases for a game on the big 3 consoles.

If the Ouya has some great exclusive games then more gamers will get around to playing it like how Linux and Mac Users still use Windows for playing many Windows games which are not available on Mac or Linux.

The Ouya also supports Onlive Cloud gaming which let you use your internet connection to stream Full PC and console, classic, and casual games from your high speed internet connection, so the Ouya is like 2 consoles built-into one because it supports both offline gaming, and cloud gaming.

The Ouya also let you install newer 3rd-party web browser like Google Chrome, Opera Mobile, or Dolphin which work with HTML5 games like http://www.cuttherope.ie/ http://browserquest.mozilla.org/ ,etc, so you can play games on a website on your TV instead of using a PC or laptop to play web browser based games.

Web browser game makers might even make their Web games work for the Ouya's controller and hardware to play their games on their website in HD.
